How do I order something from you? It is a relatively quick and painless process. Simply browse through our catalog, add the items you want to buy to your shopping cart, then checkout. Be sure to select the appropriate country when adding to the cart, as shipping amounts may differ. Do you accept credit cards? We currently accept major credit card payments through our handy Paypal shopping cart. Our releases are also distributed by a number of places who are more credit-card-friendly: Interpunk, Very, Stickfigure, CDbaby, Smartpunk, etc. Can I send you my band's demo? I don't know...can you? May I send you my band's demo? Of course. There's nobody to stop you from doing so. However, please don't expect a record deal, or even an email response just because you sent in a CD-R of a friend's basement recording of your band. I do listen to everything I receive, but the sheer volume of music I have to wade through prevents me from personally responding to every band. I should also note that every record I've released has been with a band of friends. If you really want to work with me, then show me what you're capable of on your own. Send me a record you put out yourselves; that will impress me tenfold more than any demo recording. I don't want to sound cliche but you gotta pay your dues, buckeroo. Will you sell my stuff on your website? Almost certainly. This is another reason I prefer getting 'official releases' over demo CD-Rs. While I may not put out your album after hearing your band, I'm always happy to help distribute DIY releases from artists under the umbrella of independent music (be it punk, hardcore, emo, indie, metal, hip hop, etc). Your best bet is to send a sample copy of your CD or record, complete with all artwork and inserts, to the address below. If you think I've heard your band already then feel free to email me, but I don't have time to check out your MySpace page or download a ton of MP3s unless your band is from overseas. International postage rates are ridiculous, and I don't expect you to waste your money on me. How can I distribute Handstand releases? Handstand Records is currently distributed by the fine folks at Dischord Direct, Very, Ebullition, Stickfigure, Interpunk, Electric Human Project, Level Plane, CD Baby, Smartpunk, and other DIY distros all over the world. We also love to deal direct, so if you run a store or distro, please get in touch for the cheapest wholesale rates. Do you want to trade records? We love to trade our releases with like-minded DIY labels and distros. We can trade any in-print Handstand releases, or anything from the the Mountain catalog. Please get in touch if you are interested. We can't promise a trade with everybody, but we'll try our darndest to make a swap of some sort. What bands were/are you in? I played drums in THE INFERTIL during high school, and guitar in EXCITEBIKE during college. Now that I'm in the 'real world', I'm currently playing guitar in OLDE GHOST, as well as working on acoustic and hip-hop projects (THE TIME BEING and WILLY MAMMOTH, respectively). Contrary to popular opinion, I was not in CRESTFALLEN, although I did some vocals on the Streaks of Terror record and occasionally performed those parts live. What's your favorite Metallica album?
